Cora Rose Bardwell

Cora Rose Bardwell, 21, of Manassas, VA passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2020. Cora was born to John and Deborah Bardwell of Manassas, VA on August 24, 1998. Cora attended Bennett Elementary School, Benton Middle School, and Osbourn Park High School in Manassas, VA. Cora completed her Practical Nursing Certification Program through Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) in June 2020. She was accepted into LFCC’s Registered Nursing Program and was to begin studies in the Fall 2020. Cora also attended Radford University from 2016 through 2018 to complete her general studies. Cora enjoyed vacationing at the beach and various lakes with her family and friends. She had a great love for the ocean and frequently went on scuba diving trips with her dad. Cora loved going shopping with her mom; getting their hair and nails done; and enjoying mother/daughter getaways. Cora’s sassy and adventurous little spirit would show itself often when hanging out with her brother’s or friends. Cora enjoyed swimming and was a member of many local swim teams and clubs. She had a great love for animals, with her beloved Labrador Max being her constant companion. Cora volunteered her spare time at local retirement and rehabilitation facilities, caring for the elderly. Cora is survived by her parents John and Deborah Bardwell; her twin brothers Justin and Josh Bardwell, all of Manassas, VA. She leaves her maternal grandmother, Carolyn Minneci of Manassas, VA; Uncles and Aunts, Matthew and Rosalind Bardwell of Nokesville, VA; Mark Bardwell of Nokesville, VA; Mark and Krista Boezi of Hampstead, NC; John and Kelli Minneci of Wilmington, NC. Cora is also survived by her great aunts, great uncle, loving cousins, and a host of friends. Cora is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents John and Julie Bardwell of Nokesville, VA; maternal grandfather John Ernest Minneci of Manassas, VA; and her great grandmother Helen Grove of Lovettsville, VA. A private service was held on July 15, 2020 at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, VA. A celebration of life for Cora is being planned for October 2020 for family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donations to either the Fauquier SPCA in Midland, VA or to the American Cancer Society – Pancreatic Cancer Donation.
