Charles J. Davila

Charles “Charlie” Davila passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at age 73. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Sara Davila, his siblings Richard, Nelson and Sarah Davila, and his niece Bianca Figueroa. Charlie was born and raised in New York City on May 15, 1952. Charlie left in 1974 when he served in the US Air Force and was stationed at the Pentagon in Virginia. Charlie was in the US Air Force for eight years. When he separated from the US Air Force, he started working for the US Post Office where he worked for over 30 years and retired at the age of 55. Charlie was well-liked and very generous. His post office friends remember the many donuts he brought in for everyone on most mornings. Charlie was a jokester and liked to scare his friends, family, and his grandkids with scary masks. There was no gadget that Charlie didn’t own at least 2 of! He loved his family, beach vacations, gadgets, flea markets, Amazon, movies, the Washington Redskins and his favorite holiday was July 4th! Charlie took pride in putting on the best firework display on the block which provided many colorful memories for his neighbors and family. Charlie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Nydia, and their two sons, Charles Davila JR., and Ricky (Jessica, who Charles affectionately referred to her as “the General”) Davila. His three wonderful grandchildren, Gianna, Dominic and Carmelo Davila, who affectionately called him “Lolo.” His five nieces Tanya, Brianna, Brittany, Brandi, and Deena and one nephew, Carlos. His Sister-in-law, Delia Roman. His wonderful in-laws, the Griese Family, Eddington-Hall Family, and Lampasona Family. Charlie will be profoundly missed and forever remembered. Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Charlie at Pierce Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 PM on Friday January 23, 2026, at 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA 20110. Family and Friends will gather at Sacred Heart Catholic Church to celebrate Charlie’s Funeral Mass, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 12975 Purcell Road, Manassas, VA 20112.
