In Loving Memory of Caroline Emma Ferguson Caroline “Carol” Emma Ferguson, 85, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 25,1941, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Carol was the beloved daughter of Bertha and William P. Fitzgerald. She graduated from Commerce High School and later worked for Prince William Hospital as a Business Office Manager before continuing her career with Virginia Radiology. Carol was the heart of her family - a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose generosity, kindness, and unwavering love touched everyone she met. She had a gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She transformed her home into a magical winter wonderland, creating unforgettable celebrations filled with love, laughter, and family traditions. She also found joy in simple moments, whether playing Uno and Yahtzee with her family or singing along to her favorite song, Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. Carol was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Debbie Ceschin; her parents, Bertha and William P. Fitzgerald; and her brother, William P. Fitzgerald Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Ferguson; her daughters, Lynn Ferguson Kerns and Kim Ferguson Hollar; her cherished grandchildren, Shannon Carlin, Ryan Ceschin, Eric Ceschin, Courtney Hollar, and Matthew Hollar; her great-grandson, Cash Carlin; her sister and best friend, Linda Johnson; her brothers, Ronald Fitzgerald, Raymond Fitzgerald, and John Fitzgerald; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Carol's greatest legacy was the love she gave so freely. She taught her family the importance of kindness, togetherness, and celebrating life's moments—big and small. Her warmth, strength, generosity, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in every Christmas celebration, every family game of Uno and Yahtzee, every time Sweet Caroline is played, and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the memories she created will remain with her family and friends forever. Funeral Arrangements A funeral service celebrating Carol's life will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. at: Pierce Funeral Home 9609 Center Street Manassas, VA 20110 She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
