In Loving Memory of Asma Shahateet It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Asma Shahateet, a loving mother, grandmother, and matriarch who departed this world on December 1st, 2023 surrounded by her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and unwavering strength that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Asma is survived by 2 siblings, Basima Eid and Madi Madi along with her four children, each a testament to the love and dedication she poured into her family: Kholood Fakhouri (husband Munir Fakhouri), Khalil Shahateet, Salma Saa (husband Tony Saa), and Khaldoon Shahateet (wife Jumana Shahateet). Her guidance, love, and support have shaped the lives of her children, instilling in them the values of family, resilience, and compassion. Asma's joy extended to the 16 grandchildren who brought immense happiness into her life: Yazin Fakhouri, Luna Fakhouri, Joseph Shahateet, Jennifer Martin, Nadine Fakhouri, Andrea Fakhouri, Issa Fakhouri, Travis Saa, Jordan Shahateet, Brandan Saa, Shannon Saa, Jack Shahateet, Pheonix Shahateet, Justin Shahateet, Julian Shahateet, and Sienna Shahateet. Each grandchild was a source of pride and joy for Asma, and her love for them was boundless. In addition to her role as a nurturing mother and grandmother, Asma was known for her passion for cooking and feeding those she loved. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and laughter, where family and friends gathered to enjoy her delicious meals. The aromas and flavors she created were a reflection of the love she poured into every dish, making every meal a cherished moment shared with those she held dear. Asma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Audeh Shahateet who she shared a many memories and love with. Additionally, she is reunited with her four siblings and a grandson, Luke, in the eternal embrace of peace. Asma's life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and a commitment to family. Her memory will forever be a guiding light, inspiring those who knew her to live with the same grace, kindness, and strength that she exemplified throughout her life. The family invites friends and loved ones to join in a celebration of Asma's life at Pierce Funeral Home – 9609 Center St. Manassas VA 20110 on December 15th, 2023 at 11am. Asma’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her love. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that she so generously shared during her time with us. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, VA 20110, in memory of Asma Shahateet.
