Ashley Nicole Blue

Ashley Nicole Blue passed away peacefully in her home on October 11, 2019. She was born on November 23, 2005 in Manassas, Virginia to Michele and Wesley Blue. Ashley was passionate about superheroes, SpongeBob, the Philadelphia Eagles, and dance parties to One Direction and Taylor Swift. She reveled in beating any challenger at games like Monopoly, Sorry, Uno, or H-O-R-S-E and bragging about her wins for weeks. She excelled at multiple sports and touched many lives through her volleyball, softball and basketball teams. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends and teachers at Gainesville Middle School and growing in her faith at Bethel Lutheran Church. Ashley loved to eat pizza, mac & cheese, Five Guys, and massive buckets of cookie dough. Ashley was quiet but feisty at the same time. She had an infectious personality, a sly sense of humor, and a caring heart. Ashley is preceded in death by her Great-Grandfather James Cargal. She is survived by her parents, Wesley and Michele; Brother Zack; Great-Grandmother Lee Cargal; Grandparents Janice & Michael Burlovich and Sally & Scott Blue; Aunts and Uncles Erin & Ben McDonald, Melissa & Brett Nolf, Ben & Christine Blue, and Johnny Blue; Great Aunts and Uncles Jenny & Bill Krieski, Julie Johnson, Jimmy Cargal, and Barbara & Bill Laubner; and Cousins Makayla & Maya McDonald, Julia & Luke Blue, and Christopher, Angela, Kimberly & Stephen Krieski. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 6:30-8:30 PM at Pierce Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Park Valley Church located at 4500 Waverly Farm Dr., Haymarket, Virginia 20169 at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow the funeral service at Park Valley Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Expressions of Sympathy may be sent in the form of a donation in loving memory of Ashley Nicole Blue to the SUDEP Institute of the Epilepsy Foundation.
