Anne Fletcher Reap

Anne Fletcher Reap, 74, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away on July 18, 2026. Born on November 27, 1951, Anne was the beloved daughter of the late Frank Utley Fletcher and Elizabeth Dalrymple. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Reap and brothers, Al Fletcher and Frank Fletcher. A graduate of the Maryland School for the Blind, Anne was deeply committed to her faith and to serving others. She was appointed to the inaugural Archbishop’s Pastoral Committee on Persons with Disabilities and became a lifelong advocate for accessibility and inclusion. Through her perseverance, optimism, and unwavering determination, she inspired all who knew her. Anne dedicated many years of distinguished service to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), where she built a successful career before retiring. She was also a faithful and joyful member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and its choir for many years. In addition, she was a cherished member of the HEC (Handicap Encounter Christ) and Paramount Living communities, where she was known for her kindness, warmth, sense of humor, and deep faith. Anne found her greatest joy in living out her Christian faith through prayer, fellowship, and service to others. Her participation in Handicap Encounter Christ was especially meaningful, providing lifelong friendships and opportunities to encourage others in their faith. Whether volunteering in her parish, singing in the choir, or offering a kind word to someone in need, Anne lived with a generous heart and an abiding trust in Christ. Her quiet strength, joyful spirit, and unwavering faith were an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Anne is survived by her son, Sean Reap, and her nieces, Darlene Crider and Denise Rogers. Anne’s family and friends will remember her for her steadfast faith, her commitment to public service, her tireless advocacy for people with disabilities, and the love, encouragement, and compassion she shared so generously with others. Her life was a testament to perseverance, grace, and selfless service. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, hope, and love that will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church i2700 19th Street South Arlington VA 22204, followed by a reception. Donations to Lighthouse for the blind and visually impaired or Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Arlington can be made in lieu of flowers.
