Alberta Alfred-Hill

Alberta Alfred-Hill was born on March 6, 1967 in Beaumont, Texas and departed this life on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at her residence in Nokesville, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Lorena and Willis Pete Alfred. During her youth, after the passing of her mother, she was raised by Sara Alfred along with Pete Alfred. In 1985, Alberta graduated from Hebert High school. Upon graduation, Alberta moved to Austin, Texas to attend community college while working in service merchandise. In her free time, she loved to be around friends and family. In 2004, Alberta received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University. She accomplished this all while taking care of her three-year-old daughter Hailey, working, and running a household. After college, Alberta would spend her career working with numbers, whether as an accountant or as a budget analyst. She went on to work at Pentagon Federal Credit Union, which allowed her to make lasting connections that stemmed from her love of numbers. She then moved on to work with government contractors like Booz Allen, General Dynamics, and Vectrus. She was planning on retiring in the coming years and looked forward to traveling the world with friends and family. Alberta liked to be adventurous at times and try new restaurants with her husband John. The two loved going to events that supported their daughter, Hailey. She made sure she was there to support Hailey in all of her activities and could always be seen in the stands cheering her on. Throughout the years, Alberta got involved in her daughter’s activities whether for sports or school functions. Through her love of numbers, she was able to aid Hailey’s swim team as treasure. She was a compassionate soul as well as very kind, generous, and supportive. She ensured that everyone around her was taken care of. Alberta is preceded in death by her parents, Lorena, Sara, and Pete Alfred, as well as her sister Lois. She was an amazing mother, wife, and friend. Loving memories are cherished by her husband of 34 years, John Wesley Hill Jr; her daughter, Hailey Alexis Hill; her sister, Debra Edison; her cousins, Edith Faye Alfred, Kirk Wilson, Kimberly Norman; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and of loving relatives. She will be remembered for the infectious smile that she always left people with. Alberta could always make someone laugh no matter what they were going through. Alberta will be remembered by everyone who was blessed to be in her presence. To Know Alberta Was To Love Her.
