Zachary Thomas Hoover

Zachary Thomas Hoover, 31, of Bealeton, Virginia passed away on April 6, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 19,1993 to Mary and Tracy Hoover and is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Hoover, their son Grayson Hoover, and brothers Nathan Hoover (his children, Matthew and Madelyn) and Tracy Carrico (his wife, Nichole Carrico and their sons Tracy and Cole). He is also survived by his loving and dedicated in-laws Elizabeth and Michael Connolly and family, as well as many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends and all those who supported him through Zach’s Pack. Zach grew up in Manassas, Virginia and was a proud graduate of Osbourn High School where he played on the varsity soccer team and began a 15-year love story with his sweetheart, and wife, Katie. Zach graduated from the prestigious Virginia Tech University, where he also played soccer and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 2015. He then entered into a successful career with Northrop Grumman as a Business Management Analyst. A devoted husband, friend, and partner to his beautiful wife Katie, Zach absolutely adored their son Grayson. He was a loving son and proud brother and always stepped up to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. There was never a more loyal friend, and he thrived spending time with those he loved. He found his greatest joy lounging on the beach or passionately rooting for Manchester City or the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also cherished his time on the golf course, where he found joy and relief playing a round of 18 holes right up until the very end. Zach lived his life to the fullest and will be remembered by all who knew him for his strength and bravery throughout his five-year battle with Ewing Sarcoma. He leaves behind a hole in our hearts with an emptiness that can never be filled, but Zach will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know and love him. His warm heart, infectious spirit, and bright smile that lit up every room touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Rather than dwelling on his battle with cancer, let us remember him for his vibrant spirit he embodied and the love he spread, keeping his memory alive in our hearts and actions. Rest in peace, our beloved Zachary. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Pierce Funeral home in Manassas, VA. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 14 at 1:00 pm at St. James Episcopal church in Warrenton, VA.
