Virginia Huddle Helfman

Virginia (Ginny) Huddle Helfman, 84 years old of Manassas, VA passed away at her daughter’s home in Culpeper, Virginia surrounded by her family on November 23, 2022. She was born on March 17, 1938 in Prince William County to Benjamin (Bill) Huddle and Ressie Hensley Huddle who precede her in death. Virginia was also preceded in death by her husband Bernard (Bernie) Helfman, three infant brothers and brother, Michael (Mike) Huddle and his son’s Matthew and Daniel. Also her fur baby Kali. Surviving is her only child, Sherri Hensley Sellers from her first marriage to Larry (Buster) Hensley. Also surviving are Grandson’s Kris (Mary Ann) Sellers of Dunnsville, VA, Justin Sellers of Manassas, VA and Zach (Megan) Sellers of Culpeper, VA. Great grandchildren are Hunter, Brennan, Kevin, Ethan, Savannah, Lily, Logan, Austin, Paige and Ryder. She was called Granny by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of their friends. Most people only knew her as Granny. Also left behind are sister in-laws (Austine and JoAnn), a brother, nieces, nephews and cousins (Special cousin Betty who was more like a sister to her). She also leaves behind her fur baby Chloe. Virginia worked in the automobile industry for most of her career. She began working for DMV, later worked as a Title Clerk in car dealerships in the Northern Virginia area and AAA. Her final job prior to retirement was with Giant Foods. Virginia retired to care for her nephews Matthew and Daniel Huddle and her mother. She also cared for her great grandchildren when needed. The family thanks the Hospice Of The Piedmont for the care they provided to our Granny during these last few months. Thank you to Vickie Williams who implemented in her speedy admission for care. Her nurse, Katie was wonderful and supportive to all of the family. Katie answered all the questions that the grandchildren and great grandchildren had. The On Call nurses were also supportive those nights when things would come up. Special thanks to Kathy Webster who helped us by providing her kind and gentle Aide care. You all will never be forgotten. A private grave side service will be held at a later date.
