Steven Edward Pearson

Steven Edward Pearson, 71, of Manassas Virginia passed away on September 1st, 2024. A local known 5 generation resident of Hoadly Road. He is proceeded in death by his parents Carrie and Richard Pearson, his daughter Melissa “Missy” Ann Pearson, his wife Debra Ann Pearson, his brothers Robert “Butch” Pearson, Richard Pearson and Martin “Marty” Pearson. His sister’s Gladys Hall, Evelyn Taylor, Dorris Simmons, Pansy Pearson. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer (Jenny) May Patterson and Carrie Rene Pearson, two son in laws Tim Willis and Logan Grogg. Five grandchildren that knew him as Pawpaw Steve and Pawpaw Rat - Koreyna Patterson, DJ Patterson, TJ Willis, Alyssa Willis, Jordan Willis. One great grandson Joey DeMonti “Little Petey” One remaining sister Patricia “Pat” Hodge. His nieces Juanita Litchford, Connie Baldwin, Faye Bryant. His longtime friend and boss David Branscome Sr and many other coworkers he loved as family. His girlfriend Carmen Garrity. His sister-in-law\longtime friend Julie Tegi. As well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Steve was a longtime respected and loved employee of Branscome Paving Company for 35 years. He loved working asphalt and guiding his crew. It wasn’t just a job for him, it was more than that. Steve loved playing golf, dancing at the Eagles Fraternity, thrifting antiques, history, listening to George Jones, traveling, and race cars but he loved his family even more. He was a devoted, caring and protective father of his girls. Steve was one of the strongest people many knew in life during numerous life events from losing a child and sick wife, holding the glue together and then getting sick himself and a long brave battle of stage 4 cancer for the last 4 years. He will be missed forever and a day by all of us who loved him. He never walked away or hung up the phone without saying “bye I love you” so this will be our last goodbye to him. Friends and family will be gathering at Pierce Funeral Home on Sunday September 8th, 2024 at 330 to 5pm for viewing and services for our last “goodbye we love you” for him. A celebration of life dinner will be planned for the following weekend of the 14th.
