Stanley Kurpiel

Stanley Kurpiel, 62, of Haymarket, Virginia, passed away on May 14, 2022. He was born on July 27, 1959 in Norristown, Pennsylvania to Edward and Halina (Rutkowski) Kurpiel. He enjoyed playing baseball in his youth and continued that passion coaching and teaching his nieces in softball and son in baseball, other sports and Boy Scouts. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and watching his beloved Philadelphia sports teams. Stan attended Sacred Heart School in Swedesburg and graduated from Bishop Kenrick HS in Norristown. His education continued at Temple University where he graduated with a BA in Accounting. He utilized his degree in corporate accounting and ultimately focusing his career as a pricing manager in the Government Defense Industry. His best accomplish was being a devoted husband and father. Stan and Beth met in Manassas, Va and were married at All Saints Catholic Church. They became a family of 3 a year later. Nicholas was a true gift and always his pride and joy. Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Anne Kurpiel; Son, Nicholas Thomas Kurpiel; Mother, Halina Kurpiel; Siblings Richard Kurpiel (Erin) and Christine Brady (Larry); Nieces and Nephews, Nicole McIlvaine(Westrick) and their daughter Colette, Kyle Brady (Amber) and their children Pierce and Molly, Kimberly Baczynski (Robert) and their daughter Adelynn, Bryan Kurpiel, Michael Kurpiel (Jess) and their daughters Cecilia and Emma, Brendan Kurpiel, and Timothy Kurpiel (Regan) and their son Croix; Parents in law, Robert and Judith Dell’Orco; Siblings in law, Robert Dell’Orco (Kathy) and their children Kailey, Ashley, Brooke, and Thomas, and Jennifer Miller (Tim) and their children Molly and Jake. He joins his father, Edward Kurpiel; Brother, John Kurpiel; and Niece, Amanda Brady. A viewing will be held for Stan from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 27, 2022 at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church (23331 Sam Fred Road, Middleburg, Virginia 20117). Burial will follow after Mass at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Stonewall Memory Gardens (12004 Lee Highway, Manassas, Virginia 20109.
