Renate Katharina Bibeau

UPDATE: Memorial Service and Arlington National Cemetery details have been added Renate Katharina (Schreiber) Bibeau, formerly of Manassas, Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2023, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She was the widow of Howard Harley Bibeau and celebrated 65 years of marriage until his death in 2021. She was born on March 23, 1939, in Wiesbaden, Germany, daughter of the late Herta (Schreiber) Johnson and Heinrich Anton Schreiber. She was also preceded in death by her stepfathers Johann Glockler and Hugo Waldemar Johnson, and her daughter-in-law Vicki Lynn Bibeau. Renate is survived by her three children: Frank Bibeau of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; Cole Bibeau (Cathy) of Sumter, SC; and Kimberly (Wiseman) Bibb (Mark) of Manassas. She was blessed with three grandchildren: Jacob “Jake” Wiseman (Laura) of Manassas; Jason and Dianna Bibeau of Sumter, SC and two great-grandchildren: Roman and Hazel Wiseman of Manassas. Renate worked for Central Mutual Telephone Company (now Verizon) in Manassas. She retired from Prince William County School’s then Data Center where she worked for 20+ years as a computer data programmer. She loved to travel with her husband and enjoyed exploring South America, Europe, Russia, China, Israel plus all fifty states. She enjoyed gatherings with family, playing card and board games, dancing, reading her bible, she loved Audie Murphy and western movies, attending her high school class reunions in Rapid City, South Dakota, attending the Beckman-Bibeau yearly family reunions in Balsam, Minnesota (in which she won the fishing contest one year, and held that title for a few more reunions), and playing in her garden. She deeply loved her family and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A 10:00 a.m. Memorial Service will be held at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia, January 18, 2024 with Pastor Don Meeks Officiating. Following with a 2:00 p.m. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, where Renate will be laid to rest with her late husband, Howard. In lieu of flowers or cards, donations may be made in Memory of Renate Bibeau to Wounded Warriors or hospitals that support and help little children, e.g., St. Jude, etc.
