Patricia Ann Bullock

Patricia Ann Bullock, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and talented artist, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, at the age of 71. Patricia was born on December 6, 1953 in Lumberton, North Carolina to the late John and Emma Barnes. Patricia was previously married to Durwin Bullock with whom she had two daughters, Candra (Russell) Bell and Adria Bullock. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminology from George Mason University, where she graduated with honors. Patricia was a loving mother to her daughters and a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Russell Lawrence Bell, Jr. (RJ) and Riley Patricia Bell. As a young mother, Patricia was a stay-at-home mom who was deeply involved in her daughters’ lives from organizing activities to being the constant source of advice, love and comfort. Her children and grandchildren were blessed by her nurturing nature, guidance, and unwavering support. She taught those around her what it looks like to live bravely and always with joy and a smile. Patricia embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, love for God, and an unending generosity that touched the lives of everyone around her. Throughout her life, Patricia showcased her creativity and passion for the arts, leaving behind works that reflect her unique talent and vision. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Barnes, and her siblings, Thomas Barnes, Linda Roane, Evelyn Lawrence, and Alice Faye Alston. She is survived by her two daughters, Candra Bell and Adria Bullock; her son-in-law Russell Bell; her grandchildren RJ and Riley Bell; her sister Marie Armstrong and brother-in-law Roy Armstrong; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Patricia’s beautiful smile, warmth, artistry, and unconditional love will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of your choice in Patricia’s memory. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, VA, at 12:00 p.m. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas at 2:00 p.m.
