Mildred Ruth Bouchery

Mildred (Micki) Bouchery, 89 of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away peacefully in her home Saturday July 1st surrounded by loved ones. Micki was proceeded in death by her mother RosaBelle, two sisters Laura Belle and Pauline, her loving husband of sixty years James Bouchery, two sons James (Jimbo) and Wayne Bouchery. Micki was born in Texas on January 16, 1934. From the day she was born Micki never met a stranger. She moved to New York as a young teenager where she eventually met her husband. Once married they started a big beautiful family and had so many adventures. She was always involved in her community, from owning a restaurant in Queens to several activities once they settled in Virginia in 1978. Micki was a part of a local bowling league, Prince William Hospital Thrift Store Volunteers, and was involved with the Buckhall Volunteer Fire Department since 1986. Micki was a traveler with her husband Jim, they traveled all over, and enjoyed many winters in Aruba. Micki had a knack for cooking. Whenever she was in the kitchen, everyone around her knew they were in for a treat. Some of her specialties were snickerdoodles, spaghetti, Angel food cake, and Watergate cake. As a Nana, she always made sure there were cookies on the counter for the kids, and plenty of blankets to snuggle in for a good conversation. In conversations with Micki you were sure to get laugh from one of her eye rolls that always came from a place of love. Above all else, Micki was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, and friend. Micki is survived by her son Michael Bouchery (Donna), her daughter Jane Randazzo (James), her daughter in-law Ellen Bouchery, three brothers; Joseph Gerry (Kathy), Russell Gerry (Meiko), Raymond Gerry (Marcia), a sister in law Marie Scheerer, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and so many other family and friends. Micki will be missed by all, but we are comforted in knowing she is at home with her husband, two of her sons, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 12:00 PM at All Saints Catholic Church followed by a visitation at Pierce Funeral Home from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions in her memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
