Edith Mae Keller

Edith “DD” Mae Keller was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 16, 2023, at the young age of 81. Edith was born to Lloyd Bartlett and Doris Duncan on April 3, 1942. She always lived her life to the fullest and was always ready for a good time. As she entered a room, she would look at you and say, “Hello, Sweetheart!”, with a huge smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes. You couldn’t help but smile at her. She was always happy unless she was having a bad hair day, then you definitely knew it. Edith was a true sweetheart with such a huge heart. She was always willing to listen to anyone who needed to talk or just be there when times were tough and try to help any she could. When her sister Ellie passed at an early age, Edith didn’t think twice about helping to raise her children and then grandchildren. She wanted to be a part of their lives and nothing thrilled her more than receiving a phone call from one of them and hearing those words we all long to hear, “I love you.” Edith enjoyed family gatherings and loved the car rides to visit with them. She loved to sing and dance. Whether she was good at it or not, she did not let that stop her. She was a unique, fun loving, easy going person who will be dearly missed. Life was never dull or boring when DD was around. Edith was welcomed at the pearly gates by her parents; her siblings, Margaret “Ellie” Compton, William “Bill” Bartlett and James “Jimmy” Bartlett; her son James Keller; and her great niece, Michelle DeCristafaro, whom she lent a hand in raising. Edith is survived by her daughter, Sharon Keller, and her brother, Patrick “Pat” (Jean) Bartlett. While she had many nieces and nephews, the nephews she helped raise were Ronnie Compton and Timothy DeCristafaro, Sr., and the great nephews she helped with were Brandon, Justin, Patrick and Timothy Jr. DeCristafaro.
