Donald Christopher Blevins

Donald (Donnie) Christopher Blevins, 52, of Manassas, Virginia peacefully passed away on April 17, 2024. He was a warrior in his courageous battle of 14 years with brain cancer. A Christian role model, Donnie is now at peace in the comforting embrace of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born on his Mother’s birthday, February 24, 1972 in Fairfax, Virginia and raised in Manassas Virginia, Donnie dedicated much of his career to the grocery industry, where he made many lasting friendships. He had a passion for sports, particularly as an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Washington Capitals. However, his greatest joy in life came from spending time with his friends, nephews, and nieces, creating cherished memories with each of them. He never missed a moment to tell each person he loved them. Throughout his lengthy battle with cancer Donnie never complained, instead he used his illness to proclaim, “no matter how it ends, I am healed by the stripes of Lord.” Regardless of his illness, he never questioned the Lord’s plan. Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Don Blevins; brother, Jeffrey Blevins; Stepfather, Joe Binsky; grandparents, Robert and Letitia Surplus, Issac and Nora Blevins; and brother-in-law, Michael Sukeena III. Donnie is survived by his Mother, Hannah Binsky; sister, Lisa Colgan (Pat); brother, Michael Dean (Lori & son Will), his beloved nephews and nieces, MacKenzie Heflin, Michael Sukeena IV, Patrick Colgan,Jr. (Kelsey), Joey Colgan (Grace), Cydney Colgan, Christopher Dean, and Nicholas Dean. He is also survived by his two sets of second parents, Mike and Rosalie Sukeena, Nat and Connie Liguori, and his best friend, Eric Valaer. In his last days, Donnie wanted the love he had for all his family and friends to be known and took great responsibility in sharing the Lord’s promise with them. Donnie will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for the Lord allowed him to depart this life knowing he lived every day to its fullest. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
