Chloa Blevins

Chloa Blevins passed away on July 17, 2024 after a multi-year struggle with health issues arising from COPD, and most recently early onset dementia. Chloa was a lifelong resident of Virginia and was retired from Prince William County Social Services after a lengthy tenure. Chloa was born on August 13, 1950 to Oscar and Eula Mitchell. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Doug Mitchell, and her sister, Charlotte Dolinger. She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years William (Bill) Blevins, sons Deron Blevins and Daniel Blevins, grandson Kyle Blevins, granddaughter Ashley Blevins, former daughter-in-law Jennifer Ware, future daughter-in-law Catherine Grimes, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives too numerous to list. Chloa took pride in her wry sense of humor which she shared with both siblings. She was a loving Grandmother to Kyle & Ashley and always enjoyed seeing them and watching them grow up. She loved her video games, whether it be on her computer, one of the various Nintendo systems, or on her iPad. She also loved working on her crosswords, anagrams, and sudoku puzzles. When she wasn’t doing any of those pastimes you could find her watching movies at home or catching up on her favorite TV shows, or giving Bill a hard time about something or other! As much as she kept to herself and was a homebody, she would always offer to help or talk with someone without hesitation. She was a fierce Mother, a loving grandmother, a caring friend, and a devoted wife. The family would like to acknowledge, thank, and extend gratitude to many of the staff at Vitas Healthcare for their care, empathy, and guidance, to include Nathalie, Wendy, Julie, Mary, Lexie, Abbas, and the many other workers that supported and helped Chloa while she was under their care. The family would also like to thank several workers from the assisted living facility Chloa spent 2.5 weeks with that went above and beyond in their empathy and caring; Brittany, Brianna, “Jeanette”, Anna, Vivian, Zuly, Man.
