Brian Robert Fahrenwald

August 16, 1966 – August 20, 2024 On August 20, 2024, at the age of 58, Brian Fahrenwald was called to his heavenly home. A devoted and loving husband, father, Pawpaw, and brother, Brian’s greatest joy in life was his family, and his legacy is the love and support he gave to those closest to him. Born on August 16, 1966, in Bethesda, Maryland, Brian moved with his family to Manassas, Virginia, where he would later meet the love of his life, Melissa, lovingly known as "Lissy." As young teenagers, they fell in love, and on May 19, 1985, they married, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned 39 years. Their bond was unbreakable, and together they raised two daughters, Heather Nicole and Brittany Ann, who were the light of his life. Brian’s pride and joy were his five grandchildren: Beckham, Brody, Briella, Hannah, and Alexis. Known endearingly as “Pawpaw”. He was the fun Pawpaw, always ready to play a game, toys, or look at the tools and show them how to use them. His love for his family was unmatched, and he would do anything he could for them. Brian was known for his kind and caring nature, his sense of humor, and his dedication to hard work. He spent 17 years working for Prince William County Schools in the maintenance department, where he was a reliable and hardworking employee, admired by his coworkers and friends. Brian had a passion for bluegrass music, playing the banjo and guitar. Brian learned to play the banjo when he was a young boy and shared his love of music with his family and friends. He enjoyed his time while playing in a bluegrass band, and always enjoyed a good pickin’ party. Brian’s life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and family values. He leaves behind a legacy of deep love for his wife, an endless devotion to his children and grandchildren, and a memory that will forever be held in the hearts of those who were blessed to call him husband, father, brother, Pawpaw, and friend. He is survived by his Wife: Melissa, Daughters: Heather Elliott and Brittany Ainsworth, Grandchildren: Beckham Ainsworth, Brody Ainsworth, Briella Ainsworth, Hannah Kidwell, Alexis Elliott, and Sisters: Joann Fahrenwald, Maureen Westover, and Liz Fahrenwald as well as many other family members whom all loved him deeply. The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 28, 2024, from 11:00 am to noon with a service to follow immediately at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA. Interment will follow at Little Georgetown Cemetery in Broad Run, VA.
